A Trailblazer of Compassion and Creativity

Darcy Tulloch-Williams stands out as a dynamic force at the crossroads of media, philanthropy, and community care. With a postgraduate diploma in social work and a rich tapestry of experiences that began at an early age, Darcy has a unique story that intertwines personal passion with a deep commitment to serving those in need. From the age of 15, Darcy has been an integral part of Father Ho Lung & Friends, the vibrant collective behind the Missionaries of the Poor, a Roman Catholic monastic community founded by the Indomitable Father Richard Ho Lung in 1981.

This organisation, dedicated to 'Joyful Service with Christ on the Cross,' serves the poorest of the poor, operating mission homes in Jamaica and across the globe, including Haiti, India, the Philippines, Uganda and Kenya. Darcy’s involvement in music and performance with this acclaimed group, known for their award-winning Caribbean-style Christian music, has honed her ability to communicate and connect with diverse audiences, using art as a powerful tool for fundraising and awareness.

A proud graduate of the University of the West Indies, where she earned her degree in mass communication, Darcy began her professional journey as a copywriter before moving into marketing at an international pharmaceutical company. However, it was her role as a co-host on Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation's (JBC) Morning Time, where she flourished under the mentorship of renowned sports journalist Lindy Delapenha, that truly refined her communication prowess. When her position at the pharmaceutical company was made redundant, Darcy seized the opportunity to redirect her career toward a purpose-driven path.

A serendipitous meeting with Father Gregory Ramkissoon led her to Mustard Seed Communities Jamaica, igniting a passion that has now spanned over two decades. Starting as the Program Director for Mary’s Child—a refuge for vulnerable young women and children—she has risen to the role of Executive Director. In this capacity, Darcy has been instrumental in implementing best practices and fostering a culture of excellence, significantly enhancing the quality of care and support provided to those who rely on the organisation.

Whether through the melodies of Father Ho Lung & Friends or the impactful initiatives at Mustard Seed Communities, Darcy continues to epitomise joy and service in her every endeavour.
