Desmond Elliott (1937-2012) was a foundational figure in the world of Jamaican broadcasting, leaving an unforgettable imprint on the media landscape. As the Director of TV Programmes at the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation (JBC) for over 30 years, he was renowned not only for his profound knowledge and meticulous approach to programming but also for his ability to connect with audiences on a personal level. His innovative work produced a variety of beloved shows that entertained and educated viewers across the nation.

At the time of his passing, Desmond was still passionately contributing to the industry as a freelance producer for 'Golden Memories' on the Public Broadcasting Corporation of Jamaica (PBCJ), a testament to his enduring love for storytelling and commitment to preserving Jamaican culture.
