A Passionate Advocate for Children and the Environment

Janice Budd was a dedicated media professional with over two decades of experience in Jamaica's vibrant broadcasting landscape. Her career included significant roles at prominent institutions such as the Jamaica Information Service, Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation, CVM TV, RJR/Television Jamaica, and the Jamaica Observer. Through her work, Budd became a voice for critical issues, particularly those concerning children and environmental advocacy.

After her impactful media career, Budd transitioned into the field of communications, contributing her expertise to the National Commercial Bank of Jamaica and later the Shipping Association of Jamaica. Her commitment to storytelling came to life in her efforts to highlight the experiences of individuals and communities, ensuring their narratives gained national recognition.

Budd's legacy is defined by her passion for meaningful causes, her dedication to bringing underrepresented stories to light, and her lasting impact on the Jamaican media landscape.
