Each night featured a unique theme that resonated with listeners: Mondays celebrated Jamaican culture and music with notable artists; Tuesdays revisited vintage tunes, highlighting musical competitions between classic performers; Wednesdays sparked discussions on controversy and conflict resolution accompanied by relevant music; and Thursdays fostered connections through the 'Friendship Club', which facilitated on-air interactions, friendships, and even marriages among listeners.

In addition to 'Journeys', Joan's impactful show 'That Johnson Woman' showcased her interviewing prowess, addressing a wide array of societal issues and profiling various personalities. Her engaging style and thoughtful discussions have not only captivated audiences but have also significantly contributed to the evolution of radio broadcasting in Jamaica. Through her work, Joan Johnson has established a lasting legacy as an influential voice in the industry.
