Pioneering Jamaican Media Professional and Reggae Advocate

Dennis Howard is a prominent Jamaican media professional whose influential career spans several decades. He began as a studio engineer at the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation (JBC), where he developed his broadcasting skills. Mr. Howard later became the founding Programmes Manager of Irie FM, Jamaica's first all-reggae radio station, which he helped elevate to the top of the country's radio scene. He also worked as a producer/presenter at Irie.

A Grammy-nominated music producer, Mr. Howard has managed notable reggae and dancehall artists, including Tanya Stephens and Mr. G, and has served as a publicist for celebrated acts like Morgan Heritage and Tony Rebel. He is also the author of two books that offer ground-breaking insights into Jamaican culture and the recording industry.


Additionally, he produced two successful television shows and eventually rose to become the General Manager of five radio stations, including the prestigious RJR Radio, Jamaica's oldest radio station. Dennis Howard's remarkable achievements have made him a key figure in shaping the media landscape of Jamaica and promoting its rich musical heritage.
